The group finance team in MediaCityUK is recruiting a permanent role which creates a rare opportunity to join a FTSE100 company here in Manchester.

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone starting out in their finance career either in the professional stage of their ACCA studies, or newly qualified.

As Assistant Financial Accountant your role will be to support the Financial Reporting Manager in the accurate and timely reporting of the Group monthly accounts and consolidation.

Your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Post monthly Holding company workbooks received from our UK and International offices, liaising directly with Senior Finance staff
• Month end responsibilities including AP close, Capex close, Payroll journals and posting monthly intangibles amortisation journals
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ownership of a portfolio of subsidiary statutory accounts to include both trading and dormant companies, liaising directly with external auditors where applicable.
• Maintain group wide Balance Sheet reconciliation tracker and ensure reconciliations complete prior to month end.
• Completion of returns for the Office of National Statistics

You will be highly numerate with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
